Flavor can improve the acceptability of nearly everything that passes the lips, whether it is food, beverages, toothpaste or medicine. Using PCCA Flavors™, a pharmacy flavoring system offered by Professional Compounding Centers of America, Inc., Rancho Park Compounding Pharmacy has access to more than 100 flavors and flavor combinations, including: bubble-gum, apple, blueberry, cherry-cola, eggnog custard, grape, Hawaiian pineapple, root beer float, tutti-frutti and watermelon. They also work with veterinarians, to flavor medications for pets, with choices like: beef, cheese, chicken, liver, and peanut butter for dogs; salmon, sardine and tuna for cats; and alfalfa and carrot cream for horses.
